✨ 2016 ✨ you really had to be there 🤭 I love that this is trending because reflecting on 2016 it was such an impactful year for our family. Kip was born, we bought our current house, had my 10 year high school reunion, travelled a little, spent our first summer at the TN river which quickly became our home away from home. We also lost loved ones, and it was our last Christmas with others. and surprise! Anniston is on her way! What a year. What a life. ❤️

Don’t the SCOOCH SCOOCH! My favorite cookie baking tips to get bakery style cookies every time! 1) scoop big cookies! Not every cookie recipe works well with large scoops, but many do. And when you can- I recommend making bigger cookies for that extra wow factor! 2) add extra toppings after scooping but before baking! This ensures you have lots of extras right on top of your cookies- adding flavor AND visual appeal! (If you’re using white chocolate- I recommend adding extras AFTER baking as they tend to brown in the oven) 3) shape your cookies after baking into perfect circles! You can do this using a round cookie cutter, large cup, or even a spoon. This results in a perfectly round cookie! That’s it! Just these 3 tips really elevate any cookie recipe! Raw or PERFECT? This reel always gets people a little riled up, but it’s one of my favorite baking tips! Take your cookies out of the oven BEFORE you think they’re done. Sugar is a liquid when hot, but sets as it cools. Cookies also continue to bake as they rest on the baking sheet. This is why cookies may look gooey when they first come out, but are actually ready to leave the oven! These cookies were 180 degrees when they left left the oven- definitely cooked and safe for consumption 😊 Of course- this is all personal preference! So if you like a hard or crispy cookie just ignore everything I’ve said 😉 #bakingtips #homebakery #smallbakery
