Buttery Sprinkle Cookies – Perfect for any Holiday

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup of butter, room temperature

  • 3/4 cup sugar

  • 3/4 cup brown sugar

  • 1 egg, plus 1 egg yolk

  • 1.5 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp cornstarch

  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup sprinkles – preferably jimmies

Instructions

    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
    2. Cream together butter and sugars until light and fluffy
    3. Add in egg and vanilla, mix until combined
    4. In a separate bowl, combine all dry ingredients
    5. Slowly add the dry ingredients into the butter mixture, mix until just combined. Do not overmix!
    6. Scoop dough and roll into even balls
    7. Roll dough in sprinkles, covering the top and edges of dough.
    8. Bake for 8 minutes, edges should just be light.
    9. Enjoy!
