Any baking blog worth its salt will have a classic chocolate chip cookie recipe! And while I do consider myself to be an expert in the classic sugar cookie cutout, chocolate chip cookies have been a little more difficult for me to master. Part of this is because I love SO many types of chocolate chip cookies – chewy, soft, crispy, salty, rich, milky – I love them all! So it’s hard to decide what kind of chocolate chip cookie I want represented on this blog.

I agree that semi sweet is the only chocolate chip that belongs in a classic chocolate chip cookie! I’ve never used that much vanilla so will give that a try!
