I LOVE M&M cookies, but I also love a dessert that comes together in one bowl, takes five minutes to whip up, and doesn’t require me babysitting the oven while swapping out cookie sheets. M&M cookie bars have entered the chat!
These M&M Cookie bars are soft, chewy, and filled with M&Ms and mini chocolate chips (optional, but highly suggested)! They’re inspired by the classic M&M cookie which is always a favorite – you can find my M&M Cookie Recipe here!
Storing M&M Cookie Bars
These cookie bars bake in an 8×8 pan that you can cover with foil to save for later, or cut cookie bars and store in an airtight container or bag for several days *but they won’t last that long! You can freeze these cookie bars after baking if you want to save for later!
Why you’ll love these M&M Cookie Bars
- No chilling, no mixer needed, no rolling cookies – this dessert is super easy to whip up!
- You can swap out the M&Ms to match seasonal colors. Who doesn’t love a fun seasonal dessert?
- You can easily double this recipe to make a larger pan to feed a crowd – perfect for family BBQs, birthday parties, and more!
- These are easily customized by topping with sprinkles, icing, different color M&Ms, etc!
Success Tips for the Best Results
- Allow bars to cool for an hour before cutting into them for the neatest slices
- Do not over-bake! These bars are best when they have a little crunch on the edges but are soft and chewy in the middle.
