I made these red velvet blossoms at Christmas time and again for Valentines day using a red velvet cake mix and seasonal chocolates. Rolling each dough ball in sprinkling sugar gives them a nice texture
Sugar coated Red Velvet Cake Mix Blossoms

Ingredients:

  • 1 box Red Velvet Cake Mix
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • Red sprinkling sugar
  • Hershey’s kisses, or other seasonal chocolate

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degress
  • Melt butter in microwave-safe bowl. Mix cake mix and eggs into melted butter. Mix until combined.
  • Scoop cookie dough balls, roll each dough ball in red sprinkling sugar
  • Place dough balls on baking sheet. Bake for 8 minutes.
  • When cookies are done baking, top each cookie with a Hershey kiss or chocolate.
  • Enjoy!
